Commune of Vosges (88260) of 200 inhabitants, created in the 11th century, between Darney and Vittel.
Significant events:
Around 1030: Foundation of a priory of the order of Cluny by Ricuin de Darney and his wife Lancède. This priory becomes a center of influence of the cult of the dead.
11th century: Construction of the church Notre-Dame de Relanges, in Romanesque style, associated with the priory. It is characterized by an architecture with three naves and five bays, covered with ribbed vaults.
1725: The priory is united with the chapter of Darney by bulls of Pope Benedict XIII.
1790: During the French Revolution, the priory is abolished and its buildings are largely destroyed. The church then becomes the place of worship of the parishioners.
1899: The Notre-Dame de Relanges church is classified as a historical monument, thus recognizing its heritage importance.
