The Saint-Évence Church in Sartes, built in the 19th century, is a representative example of the religious architecture of this period. Its main façade is decorated with a neo-Gothic portal, characterized by pointed arches and sculpted motifs, reflecting the influence of the Gothic style on 19th century buildings.
Inside, the church houses a stone Virgin of Pity dating from the 17th century, testifying to the artistic wealth of the period.
The stained glass windows, made in the 19th century, illustrate biblical scenes and figures of saints, contributing to the brightness and spiritual atmosphere of the building.
The church also has a statue of Joan of Arc, added later, symbolizing French historical heritage.
