Saint Isaiah

Saint Isaiah is not a recognized Christian saint, but Isaiah is an important prophet of the Old Testament. He is said to have lived in the 8th century B.C. in Judah, during the reigns of several kings, including Uzziah, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. He preaches fidelity to God, condemns social injustices, and announces the arrival of a Messiah. His book, the Book of Isaiah, is one of the most influential in the Bible, containing prophecies of the coming of Christ according to Christian tradition. He is said to have suffered martyrdom under King Manasseh, according to some Jewish and Christian traditions.
