Saint Christopher is a legendary saint, often presented as a giant converted to Christianity. His name means "bearer of Christ". According to tradition, he sought to serve the most powerful and was guided to God. He became a ferryman for travelers on a river and one day, he carried a child who became heavier and heavier: it was Jesus carrying the weight of the world. Baptized, he evangelized before being martyred in the 3rd century under the emperor Decius. He is the patron saint of travelers and motorists. His cult is very popular, although his historical existence is uncertain.
