This stained glass window is a modern work celebrating the Eucharist.
This modern stained glass window is divided into two vertical lancets surmounted by a trilobed tympanum. The tympanum contains three colored angelic figures on a blue background. In the left lancet, the basket of bread is located in the center. The bread, marked with Latin crosses, immediately recall the sacrament of the Eucharist. The fish, located under the basket, is the ichtus (the fish), a primitive Christian symbol representing Jesus Christ. For the right lancet, a golden amphora, surmounted by a red cross, stands in the center. This container, traditionally associated with water or wine, here refers to the blood of Christ, essential to the Eucharist. Two white doves, symbol of the Holy Spirit, drink from the amphora. The stained glass window uses repetitive geometric shapes in the background, with a predominance of reds, blues and yellows. These modern motifs give a harmonious structure to the whole and recall the stylized shapes of medieval stained glass windows while fitting into a more contemporary aesthetic. This modern stained glass window is divided into two vertical lancets surmounted by a trilobed tympanum.
