Saint-Martin Church in Pompierre

The Saint-Martin Church in Pompierre is most famous for its 12th-century Romanesque portal, one of the finest examples of Romanesque sculpture in Lorraine.
This portal, preserved during the church's reconstruction in the 19th century, features detailed scenes such as the Adoration of the Magi, the Massacre of the Innocents, and Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, surrounded by geometric and floral motifs inspired by Burgundian sculpture.
Listed as a historic monument in 1908, this portal is protected by a wooden lean-to to preserve the sculptures.
