Commune of the Vosges (88300) of about 200 inhabitants, created in the 10th century.
Certilleux is an old village whose history dates back to the medieval period, long marked by its belonging to the Duchy of Lorraine before joining France in the 18th century.
The commune has always had a rural character, with an economy centered on agriculture and peasant life.
