This stained glass window depicts the Annunciation.
This vertical stained glass window, set in a round-arched bay, depicts the Annunciation — the moment when the angel Gabriel announces to the Virgin Mary that she will conceive the child Jesus. At the center of the scene, the angel Gabriel, haloed and dressed in a rose-colored tunic and a golden-tinged mantle, steps forward. In his left hand, he holds a white lily, the traditional symbol of Mary's purity. With his other hand, he appears to offer a blessing. Facing him, kneeling, is the Virgin Mary, also haloed. She wears a sky-blue cloak and a white robe. She holds an open book. Above the scene, we can see the dove of the Holy Spirit. The composition is structured by two Corinthian-style columns. They frame the scene within a nearly theatrical space, with a purple curtain drawn across the background. At the top of the stained glass window, decorative motifs inspired by Neo-Renaissance art (flowers, fruits, a vase) evoke spiritual abundance.
