Quirin of Neuss (d. c. 116) was a Roman officer and Christian martyr. According to tradition, he served under Emperor Trajan before converting to Christianity. Refusing to renounce his faith, he was arrested and executed, probably by drowning in the Rhine. His cult developed in Lorraine and Germany, particularly in Neuss, where his relics were transferred. He is often invoked against skin diseases and abscesses. His cult remains alive in eastern France and Belgium.
