The stained glass window in front of us, composed of two Gothic lancets, represents Saint-Euchaire on the left and Saint-Gérard on the right.
This stained glass window, composed of two Gothic lancets, represents Saint Euchaire on the left and Saint Gerard on the right. Both saints are depicted full-length. The architectural frames and geometric motifs create a visual richness specific to the neo-Gothic. Saint Euchaire, the first bishop of Trier, is depicted wearing a mitre and an episcopal cope. He blesses with his left hand and holds a sword in his right hand. Saint Gerard, probably Saint Gerard of Toul (Bishop of Toul in the 10th century), is depicted as a bishop. He wears a chasuble and a mitre and holds a miniature church. Below each figure, an inscription reads “Pray for us”. The lower register contains two epitaphs dedicated to Joséphine de Remoucourt, wife of Alexandre d’Arbois de Jubainville, and Mélanie ...
