This stained glass window from the Sainte-Marie church in Bourmont illustrates the Coronation of the Virgin Mary.
This vertical, semicircular stained-glass window is typically late 19th century. The oval medallion in the center depicts the Coronation of the Virgin. The Virgin Mary, seated on the right, is dressed in pink and blue. She is crowned by her Son, Jesus Christ, seated opposite her, dressed in red and blue. Christ delicately places a crown on his mother's head. Above, God the Father, white-bearded and dressed in red, attends this performance with the dove of the Holy Spirit. The window is enriched with neo-Renaissance elements, such as the gilded scrollwork frames, the floral motifs in grisaille, and the richly colored ornamental borders. It is signed Toner Père et fils Nancy. This vertical, semicircular stained-glass window is typically late 19th century. The oval medallion in the center depicts the Coronation of the Virgin.
