Columba of Sens was a young Christian martyr from the 3rd century. According to tradition, she fled Spain to escape religious persecution and took refuge in Sens, Gaul. Under persecution by Emperor Aurelian, she was arrested, refused to renounce her faith, tortured, and then beheaded on December 31, 273. Her abandoned body was responsible for miracles, including the healing of a blind man.
