This stained glass window represents two complementary aspects of the figure of Christ: the Good Shepherd and the Sacred Heart.
This stained glass window is composed of two main lancets surmounted by a decorative tympanum. The lancets represent two distinct figures: on the left, a Christ as the Good Shepherd carrying a sheep on his shoulders; on the right, a Christ carrying his Sacred Heart. These two representations are framed by a red background decorated with floral and geometric motifs. In the upper tympanum, a motif presents a stylized church surrounded by plant motifs. In the left lancet, the figure of Christ is represented carrying a sheep on his shoulders, a shepherd's staff in his left hand. The expression on his face is marked by gentleness and concern. This iconography is inspired by the parable of the Good Shepherd in the Gospel according to John (10, 11-18), where Jesus presents himself as the protector of the sheep. In the right lancet, Christ is represented showing his heart, surrounded by flames and surmounted by a cross. This iconography is associated with the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, popularized in the 17th century, notably by the visions of Marguerite-Marie Alacoque. The upper part of the stained glass window represents a stylized church, probably a reference to the building where the window is installed or to the idea of the Church as the house of God. The floral and plant motifs that surround it evoke life and spiritual fertility. This stained glass window is composed of two main lancets surmounted by a decorative tympanum.
