Saint-Prancher

Commune of Vosges (88500) with 75 inhabitants.
Saint-Prancher has a history dating back to the 13th century.
The name of Saint-Prancher appears for the first time in the texts in 1287. The lordship of Saint-Prancher (Sanctus Pancratius) belonged, under the Ancien Régime, to the Marquis of Bassompierre-Removille.
In 1790, during the French Revolution, Saint-Prancher was integrated into the canton of Rouvres-en-Xaintois. By prefectural decree of September 15, 2023, the commune is removed on January 1, 2024 from the district of Épinal and attached to the district of Neufchâteau.
