Justine Pernot Chapel

The chapel and its Justine Pernot retirement home, located in the Rouceux district of Neufchâteau, are intimately linked to the centuries-old presence of a unique religious community in the Vosges Mountains: the Hospitaller Sisters of the Holy Spirit. Founded in the 12th century by Guy of Montpellier, this congregation is part of the Order of the Holy Spirit.
The spacious chapel is the spiritual heart of the community and owes its existence to Mother Justine Pernot (1776-1867), Superior General of the Order of the Holy Spirit.
