Attignéville

Commune of the Vosges (88300) with 225 inhabitants.
Formerly called Alteniaci villa, Autignevilla or Autignéville.
To see: Saint-Lambert Church, the Virgin of Pity, the altarpiece of the Crucifixion and the twelve apostles.

The origins of Attignéville date back to the medieval period, and the commune has experienced the many transformations of Lorraine, from the independence of the duchy to its attachment to France in the 18th century.
Its proximity to the border has also marked it during wars and conflicts, particularly during the Franco-German wars.
Attignéville preserves traces of its history through its rural architecture, with traditional Lorraine farms and a church that watches over the village.
