JThis semicircular stained-glass window depicts "Saint Joan of Arc Listening to Her Voices."
This semicircular stained-glass window depicts "Saint Joan of Arc Listening to Her Voices." In the center, the Archangel Michael, clad in golden armor, holds a sword. Beside him, a crowned Saint Catherine of Alexandria wears a palm branch and a blue robe studded with golden medallions. Saint Margaret of Antioch also wears her martyr's palm. These three figures are those Joan of Arc identified during her trials as the "voices" that guided her. Saint Joan of Arc, a young shepherdess from Lorraine, sits barefoot in a rural setting, dressed in simple clothing (a red tunic and blue skirt). She holds a distaff and is surrounded by sheep. Fruit trees and flowers adorn the scene. This stained-glass window is a gift from "The Young Men and Women of Aouze, 1945-1948."This semicircular stained-glass window depicts "Saint Joan of Arc Listening to Her Voices."
