Let us observe the central panel. It is divided into 4 scenes: the Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin; the Annunciation; the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple and perhaps the Visitation.
This monumental panel is divided into four major narrative registers, following a vertical arrangement. Each of the scenes illustrates biblical episodes centered around the Virgin Mary, highlighting her divine mission from the Annunciation to her heavenly glorification. Upper left register, the Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin; Lower left register, the Annunciation; upper right register, the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple and finally lower right register – hypothesis proposed, the Visitation. The scenes are framed by neo-Gothic ornaments, typical of the 19th century, with floral motifs, pointed arches and trompe-l'oeil sculpted pinnacles.
