This stained glass window represents the apparition of Jesus in the Sacred Heart at Sainte-Marguerite-Marie-Alacoque.
This stained-glass window occupies a twin bay, with two vertical lancets, topped with bellows-shaped openings with floral and geometric motifs, typical of the late 19th-century Gothic Revival style. In the center of the window, a main scene is inscribed within an ornamental frame in the form of a vertical medallion. Two figures are depicted, one on each lancet. On the left, a man wearing a long blue coat trimmed with gold and a red tunic appears, his right hand outstretched. His flaming heart is clearly visible on his chest, encircled by a crown of thorns, and surmounted by a luminous cross: this is the Sacred Heart. On the right, a nun kneels in a fenced garden, her arms open in a gesture of reception. Her dark habit, her white veil, and her posture indicate Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, a mystic from the convent of Paray-le-Monial. The scene depicts one of the apparitions of Christ to Margaret Mary, as reported in 1673-1675.
