This stained glass window depicts an apparition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to a nun, probably Saint Marguerite Marie Alacoque.
This stained glass window, from the 19th or early 20th century, is composed of two slender lancets, typical of the neo-Gothic style. It depicts an apparition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to a nun. On the left, Jesus is depicted in majesty, standing on the clouds, dressed in a blue cloak and a red tunic, with a radiant golden halo around his head. His Sacred Heart is clearly visible on his chest, aflame and surrounded by a crown of thorns, according to the iconographic tradition initiated in the 17th century. His gesture, his right hand outstretched, expresses an invitation to devotion and faith. A cross with the crown of thorns and a lance is at his feet. On the right, a nun, dressed in a black and white habit, is kneeling and opening her arms towards Christ. It is likely that it represents Saint Marguerite-Marie Alacoque, the visionary of Paray-le-Monial, to whom the Sacred Heart appeared in the 17th century.
