This stained glass window represents Saint Joseph in a central medallion.
This stained glass window is structured around a central medallion representing Saint Joseph, easily identifiable by his characteristic attributes. The medallion is inscribed in a complex and decorative neo-Gothic composition, where plant motifs (notably bunches of grapes and vine leaves) and geometric patterns intertwine. Two inscriptions complete the work, "Sanctus Joseph" at the medallion, confirming the identification of the central character and a dedication: "Gift of the B. V. family 1883", located at the bottom of the stained glass window. Saint Joseph, the central character, is immediately recognizable thanks to his golden aureole: Symbol of holiness, it surrounds his head in accordance with Christian iconography. The flowered staff (or lily) symbolizes his purity and his role as protector of the Virgin Mary. Joseph is represented with a green tunic and a purple cloak. Green is often associated with hope and life, while purple symbolizes dignity and spirituality.
