This stained glass window depicts an episode in the life of the Virgin Mary. On the left, at the top, stands Saint Joachim, Mary’s father, recognizable by his long white beard and red cloak. He is depicted reading a book. In the center, the kneeling figure is Mary, still a child, dressed in white and blue, the Marian colors par excellence. She expresses an attitude of humility and submission to the divine will. On the right, seated on a bench, is Saint Anne, Mary’s mother. She is depicted in a gesture of transmission and education. The whole is framed by a floral decoration typical of the neo-Gothic, incorporating stylized plant motifs and a rich palette of colors that energizes the composition.
