The stained glass window depicts Saint Dominic, Jesus and the Virgin of the Rosary.
The stained-glass window consists of two vertical lancets. On the left, enthroned in a luminous cloud, the Virgin Mary is depicted seated, crowned, holding the Infant Jesus on her lap. She wears a red robe and a blue mantle. Her face, turned toward the viewer, establishes a bridge between the divine world and the faithful. Jesus, a vigorous child, naked except for a white drape, extends a rosary to the kneeling monk. On the right lancet, a Dominican monk, praying, his hands raised toward the Virgin and Child, is identifiable by his tonsure and his white habit covered by a black mantle. At his feet, a dog holds a lit torch. This is Saint Dominic de Guzmán, founder of the Order of Preachers. This allegory comes from a medieval pun: "Dominicani" is read as "Domini canes," the "dogs of the Lord," faithful watchmen against heresy. This stained-glass window is part of the restoration of religious heritage in the 19th century, a period when master glassmakers' workshops flourished following Viollet-le-Duc.
