Saint-Sulpice Church

This stained glass window depicts the handing over of the keys to Saint Peter by Jesus.

This stained-glass window consists of two lancets topped with openwork floral motifs on a red and blue background, typical of Neo-Gothic decor. In the main scene, on the left, Jesus, wearing a halo, is dressed in a red tunic and a blue cloak. He raises one hand in a gesture of blessing and with the other holds out two keys to Saint Peter. On the right, Saint Peter kneels and receives the keys. Behind him, three apostles are watching, among whom John, a young, beardless man with long hair, is recognizable. The scene is framed by Neo-Gothic architecture painted with pinnacles and arches. In the distance, the heavenly Jerusalem shines.
