This stained glass window shows two facets of Saint Martin's life.
This stained-glass window consists of two vertical lancets, each depicting a distinct but complementary scene, framed in an ornate Gothic Revival architectural style. The whole is topped with a richly colored polylobed openwork with floral and geometric motifs. On the left, Saint Martin, still a Roman soldier, is sharing his cloak. He is mounted on a white horse, dressed in armor and a red cloak; he tears his cloak to give half to the poor. The background features a simple paving and stylized architecture. On the right, the same Saint Martin has become a bishop. He is now elderly and wearing a halo. He wears a miter, a red cloak, and a gilded bishop's crozier. According to Christian tradition, Saint Martin performed a miracle by resurrecting a child.
