This stained-glass window depicts a spiritual confrontation, the premise of martyrdom. That of Saint-Pient?

At the heart of the central mandorla, against a backdrop of architecture representing the heavenly Jerusalem, the hand of God emerges from a cloud to bless a haloed man. The man, tonsured, holds a wooden cross in his hand and calmly accepts the ordeal that awaits him. To his left, two figures stand. One, in the background, brandishes a sword in a threatening gesture. The other, in the foreground, firmly grasps the saint's arm. The expression of the movement, the tension of the gestures, and the difference in costume underscore the violence of the moment.
