This stained glass window represents the apparition of Christ before the Sacred Heart, probably at Sainte-Marguerite-Marie-Alacoque.
This stained glass window from the Saint-Épvre church depicts the appearance of Christ at the Sacred Heart to a nun, who is probably identified as Saint Marguerite-Marie Alacoque, the visionary of Paray-le-Monial. Christ occupies the left part of the upper part of the stained glass window. He is dressed in a white tunic symbolizing divine purity and a red cloak, the color of his redemptive sacrifice. He is standing on clouds, a sign of his celestial and transcendent dimension. His right hand is raised, blessing, while his left hand points to his radiant heart, surrounded by a crown of thorns and surmounted by a flame.
