This stained glass window represents the Assumption of Mary.
At the heart of the stained glass window, the Virgin Mary is depicted ascending toward the heavens, surrounded by luminous clouds and cherubs or putti. The latter, winged child figures commonly used in Christian art, symbolize the purity and holiness of the heavenly kingdom. Mary is dressed in her traditional white dress, a symbol of immaculate purity, and a blue mantle, a color associated with her heavenly nature and her role as Mother of Jesus. Her face expresses both serenity and devotion, and her hands joined in a posture of prayer reinforce her role as intercessor between heaven and earth. A radiant halo frames her face, testifying to her glorification by God and her central role in Marian theology. The composition is centered on Mary, emphasizing her elevation.
