This stained-glass window, with two lancets, depicts the Annunciation, the moment when the Archangel Gabriel comes to announce to Mary that she will be the mother of Jesus. On the left, the Archangel Gabriel, atop his cloud, is dressed in a pink cloak and a green tunic. He holds a lily branch in one hand, a symbol of purity, while the other is raised in a gesture of greeting and peace. On the right, the Virgin Mary kneels in a reverent pose, her arms crossed over her chest, her gaze lowered in an expression of modesty and attentiveness. Her blue cloak and red dress embody, respectively, her fidelity to heaven and the deep love she has for God. Above her head, a ray of divine light descends, with a white dove symbolizing the Holy Spirit. The message is clear: this earthly encounter is the expression of a heavenly mystery. The scene is framed by trompe-l'oeil painted architecture, adorned with floral motifs, stylized foliage, and rosettes. The fineness of the borders and the regularity of the shapes reveal careful 19th-century craftsmanship, in keeping with the neo-Gothic style that aimed to restore the spiritual beauty of the Middle Ages.
