Church of Blevaincourt

This scene is a classic from The Immaculate Conception. "Don D MOLLOT".

This stained-glass window is vertical and semicircular. It is punctuated by a colorful architecture composed of geometric floral panels, dominated by red, green, blue, and gold. These neo-Gothic motifs, in the form of fleur-de-lis crosses, are repeated around the central scene to magnify it. In the center of the window, housed in a mandorla framed by pearl ribbons, stands the Virgin Mary, identifiable by her posture, her traditional colors, and the iconography that surrounds her. Here she is depicted full-length, with her arms outstretched. She wears a white dress and a blue and red cloak. She is surrounded by a halo, her eyes lowered. Beneath her feet are a cloud and a crescent moon, on which she is crushing a serpent. This scene is a classic depiction of the Immaculate Conception. At the bottom, we read the inscription "Don de Mollot."
