Aouze

Commune of the Vosges (88170) of 180 inhabitants.

Mentioned since the Middle Ages, Aouze has experienced the upheavals linked to territorial wars, in particular the Thirty Years' War, which ravaged many Lorraine localities.
In the 18th century, like the rest of the Duchy of Lorraine, Aouze was attached to France.
The village retains typical architectural elements, such as a church and old stone farms, testimonies of its agricultural past and the rural life of the region.
